Citizens Police Academy
The Grapevine Citizens Police Academy presents a look at the innermost workings, values and philosophy of the Grapevine Police Department. The academy is a 27 hour block of instruction designed to give the public invaluable insight of the role of their police department. During the ten week period the academy encompasses, students will have the unique opportunity to see and interact with Police Department personnel as never before. It consists of a series of classes, held once a week for three hours. The instruction is comprehensive, covering different aspects of the Police Department each week. Personnel from various divisions will conduct each instructional block.
Who May Attend?
The Grapevine Citizens Police Academy is free of charge and is limited to Grapevine residents. Residents also include people who work in Grapevine. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and never been convicted of an offense above the grade of a Class B misdemeanor or a Class B misdemeanor within the last ten years. The Academy is held twice a year, one during the spring months and one during the fall.
